On the colored pencil forums of wetcanvas.com there was talk about using colored pencil on canvas. I wanted to test the concept so picked a small canvas board to try it out. This is the result, although I must admit I’m not really a fan! It uses up your pencils like there’s no tomorrow, yet still leaves small white dots behind where the color can’t reach. Still, it was an useful experiment.

This is titled “Free” – all the more poignant because this is a hybrid macaw (probably catalina?), a human induced mixture of two species which does not exist in the wild and triggers many a heated discussion in the parrot circles.
